Where: Khwai Private Reserve in Botswana’s Okavango Delta.
Rooms: 12 canvas-sided rooms. Nine of these are twins, two are family tents, and one is our sprawling honeymoon tent. Each boasts an en suite bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers.
Activities: Morning, afternoon and evening game drives. Mokoro excursions and boat trips, and even guided bush walks.
Great for: There are more than 50 species here, including leopards, lions, cheetahs, African wild dogs, buffalos, elephants and of course, sable antelopes.
