Where are you originally from?

“I’m from South Africa.”

Where do you live now?

“In Windhoek, Namibia.”

What’s your job at Natural Selection?

“I’m the Operations Director of Namibia.”

What’s your background prior to joining NS?

“I spent 18 years working with Wilderness Safaris in Namibia and Botswana. Before that, I was in Uganda, Zambia, and South Africa.”

What’s your favourite part of your job?

“Being surrounded by happy people – staff, colleagues, and guests.”

What’s the most challenging aspect of your job?

“Unhappy people – staff, colleagues, and guests!”

Do you have a favourite Namibian camp?

“Hoanib Valley Camp of Natural Selection’s, and Desert Rhino Camp, of Wilderness Safaris’.”

Please describe Namibia in three words

“Dramatic views, dramatic emotions.” – not quite three but we’re big Louis fans so we’ll let it pass.

Why should people visit the country?

“To meet the people, such as our staff members Theresa and Michael and Maggie and Winnie and Frank and Chris and Festus and Albertina and Ramon and Lena.”
