Our Essence

Regenerative tourism THAT GIVES BACK

At the core of Natural Selection is the mission to meaningfully connect people to wild nature. Our regenerative tourism focus ensures that our business and our guests give back more to communities and conservation than we take from the destination.

Our Impact Model concentrates on  3 interdependent elements:

  1. Creating Conservation Economies through ecotourism development, job creation and supporting sustainable local enterprise.
  2. Leading Conservation Action through expanding wildlife & habitat protection, empowering local rural communities, and enabling human-wildlife coexistence.
  3. Managing Environmental Impact by minimising the environmental impact of our operations and protecting the wilderness areas we manage.
1.5% to the planet

We make sure every
visitor's trip counts

We firmly believe that conservation based tourism plays an important role in the protection of wilderness areas around the globe, particularly in Africa. Simply by visiting a wildlife area, travellers are encouraging its continued protection through tourism revenue. In addition, we make sure that 1.5% of every booking at our lodges is donated to conservation and that the per person per night Community, Conservation and Reserve (CCR) Fee goes directly to protecting wildlife reserves and supporting local communities.

By choosing to be at one of our Natural Selection camps or lodges, guests automatically contribute to the protection of the very wildlife they will see on safari and the upliftment of thousands of local people.
