7 Days | 6 Nights - North Island Okavango & Tuludi
This is an unforgettable Delta experience, taking you to two exclusive areas of the Okavango Delta. Spend seven days at two of our premier Okavango Delta camps. North Island Okavango is located on a private island, surrounded by a mosaic of other islands all netted together by shining lagoons and transient channels.
Between the floodplains, open savannah and woodlands, there is an abundance of wildlife. Tuludi is located in the pristine wilderness of the Khwai Private Reserve to the east, with game-rich floodplains, winding waterways and emerald forests attracting all the stars of the safari show. This is most certainly a quintessential Okavango Delta experience.
Your safari starts at the stylish North Island Okavango, winner of a number of prestigious awards including the Travel + Leisure IT List Winner for Best New Hotels 2024. Each spacious tented suite is designed around a congregation of beautiful big trees, with expansive lagoon views. Here you’ll safari amongst the islands, rich with wild things and extraordinary beauty.
This is an unforgettable Okavango Delta safari experience, and it won’t take you long to settle into the pure bliss of your surroundings. With the camp being at the head of the Delta where water levels are higher for longer, guests are able to enjoy water based activities for most of the year.
Tuludi is located in the Khwai Private Reserve, over 200,000 hectares of pristine wilderness. Seven tree-house style rooms lie here shaded by the boughs of cool Leadwood trees, their sophisticated interiors mixing the contemporary with the traditional.
The surrounding floodplains aren’t simply beautiful, they’re also the perfect location for enormous herds of elephant and buffalo who wander amongst the grass undisturbed. After your day’s exploring this wild wetland, relax around your private plunge pool soaking up the incredible Delta views.
This safari starts and ends in Maun in Botswana. Peak season for the Okavango Delta is between April and October. During these dry winter months, water from the Angolan highlands arrives and water levels in the Delta are high, offering the best conditions for mokoro and boat activities and exceptional game viewing opportunities as wildlife is drawn to the water from the surrounding dry areas. The summer season brings the much-longed-for rains and alongside mind-bogglingly beautiful sunsets and thunderstorms, you’ll notice plenty of newborns springing around the plains. Birding at this time of year is also excellent as the migrants return from their various corners of the globe.
