The special rangers in Khwai Private Reserve (KPR) have been monitoring the leopards near Sable Alley and Hyena Pan for two years, and now the leopard population across the entire KPR concession and Khwai area is going to be investigated with a brand new study.

We’ve partnered with the University of New South Wales and the Botswana Predator Conservation Trust to explore the population dynamics and survival strategies of this population which spans from Khwai village to the Mopane woodlands in the north. There are very few tracks up into the north and this study with undoubtedly reveal many previously unknown features and challenges of the area.
