Where are you originally from?

“I’m from Moreomaoto Village in Boteti Sub-district in the Makgadikgadi area.”

How did you come to work at Meno a Kwena?

“This was a long time dream for me. With my passion, enthusiasm, natural knowledge, and keenness to explore the magnificent Botswana bushveld it felt right to share this with my guests who travel the world to experience this truly magical place.”

What’s your favourite thing about working at Meno a Kwena?

“My favourite thing about Meno is that it represents the last of Old Africa. The very notion that a place as wild and untouched as the Makgadikgadi National Park where Meno a Kwena Camp is situated along the highest banks of the Boteti river seems like a dream.”

What’s it like to guide in the area?

“Game drives at Meno a Kwena Camp offer a rounded experience and don’t just focus on the largest and most obvious animals such as the Big Five. I try to focus on the interactions between the different species and how important it is to protect the wilderness.”

What’s been your greatest experience at Meno so far?

“My greatest experience has been having lunch out along the high banks of the Boteti river and being interrupted by dazzling zebras who’d arrived to have a drink of water from the river, while my guests were having an ice-cold beer and picnic lunch out along the river. It’s always nice to chat about our lives and what we witnessed out on our game drive. It’s a great experience to learn about new cultures and diversity.”
