An Even Greater Migration

We’re incredibly proud to support the animals who undertake Africa’s longest migration, which has resumed despite the odds and obstacles and is becoming larger each year.
Unusually heavy rains in the Makgadikgadi this year are expected to contribute to even greater growth in the migrating population of zebras and wildebeest through Botswana.
Our migration project is working towards developing an unrestricted migration route for the future, and the conservation project team is busy collecting biophysical data and indigenous knowledge on the movements of wildlife and cattle so that they can identify the migration paths of least resistance.
The long term goal is to help shape and implement sustainable conservation solutions in the area that support local livelihoods and wildlife.
