Where: In Botswana’s mysterious Makgadikgadi Pans. Guests embarking on game drives will visit Ntwetwe Pan.

Rooms: There are 18 thatched huts, each of which oozes character and comfort. Perfect for a quirky stay in this Baobab wonderland. Camping is also available with bathroom facilities.

Great for: There are the habituated meerkats of the Makgadikgadi to meet of course. Game drives can lead to desert adapted species such as bat-eared foxes, springbok, elephants and lions. As December sweeps through with the summer rains, prepare yourself for one of the greatest shows on Earth: the zebra and wildebeest migration.
