Improving Communication

Our conservation teams are always beavering away at various projects, and it’s been with some excitement that our mobile safari partners Namibia Tracks and Trails (NTT) have just completed the installation of a VHF radio communication system in the northwest of Namibia.

The system is designed to improve communication between NTT, the Elephant and Human Relations Aid (EHRA) and local police, should a wildlife crime occur. In addition to the system, the Ozondjou NTT mobile camp has also managed to raise an additional 270,000 NAD for EHRA in the last year. The EHRA is a Namibia based organization that works to reduce conflict between elephants and humans by working on the ground, providing practical and realistic solutions to day to day issues.
