GET READY FOR THE NIGHT OF YOUR LIFE!

For a night that’s truly unforgettable you’ll struggle to beat a safari sleepout. Spending a night out beneath the twinkling African skies with the sounds of the bush all around you is one of the most invigorating ways possible to get some shut eye. Sleep may not come swiftly as your senses are heightened by the sheer magnitude of the natural world around you, but a bush wake up call is as idyllic as it gets.

Here are three of our favourite Botswana sleepout experiences:

Skybeds, Khwai Private Reserve
Each of the three rooms at Skybeds is actually a three storey raised platform, overlooking the wildlife-spotted plains of Khwai. The vast double bed at the top of the platform is completely open to the stars, and below is a dressing area and a bathroom so there’s no need to compromise of comfort.

Khwai Private Reserve is well known for its abundance of wildlife and the game here is plentiful. In one night at Skybeds we’ve seen African wild dogs, lions, elephants and hyena! To make this experience even more. spectacular, you could arrive by helicopter.

Tuludi Sky Suite, Khwai Private Reserve
This is truly one for the thrill seekers and the star gazers, the adventurers and the romantics. Experience an evening of enchantment, safely tucked into your raised sleepout surrounded by the sights and sounds of the iconic Okavango Delta.

Sip a sundowner on the sky deck before scooching up to the crackling firepit and tucking into your dinner basket as hippo, hyena and elephant trumpets awaken your senses. Tune into nature and luxuriate in the king sized bed with a fully equipped bathroom within easy reach.

The Makgadikgadi Pans from Meno a Kwena
Guests at Meno a Kwena are able to head out into the Makgadikgadi Salt Pans where they’ll spend a night camping out in total desert silence. Here you’ll enjoy absolute serenity and the cinematic romance that only the desert can provide.

Settle in for the ultimate night in the wilderness, lit by lanterns and lulled to sleep by the sweet song of the wild. This is a night of minimalism to maximise the quality of experience.
